A downloadable game

This is my dissertation project, created with Unity using assets from the asset store.

The project was to gauge player experience using different control schemes and perspectives to better understand how to create a more effective atmosphere in a survival horror game.

It demonstrates the implementation of animation state machines, behavioural states for the enemies, navigation, particle systems, music playing, and event sounds

Install instructions

This has only been tested with XBox 360 controllers, but it's possible that other controllers work. If so, the button mappings stated in game may change.
If you have a PS4 controller, please download DS4 windows (http://ds4windows.com/) and install it. I apologise for this, but Unity's mapping of controls differs from XBox360 to PS4. I may try to support this from the game in future, but this workaround is required for now).

For best results, choose Fast or better in the opening window's graphics quality settings.

Please read all the instructions carefully...for example, the slider for how intuitive the controls are is most intuitive on the LEFT and least on the RIGHT.

The first scenario has movement mapped such that Up always moves your character forward relative to them, not relative to the camera.

HINT: There is a weapon almost under your nose in the first room...
